Open before the doors do
Retail and shopping centre cleaning.
Retail is judged in the first ten seconds: the entrance glass, the matting, the floor immediately inside the door. Those three carry most of the impression and take most of the traffic, so they need attention out of proportion to their square footage. In a centre, the additional problem is that shared space belongs to everyone and therefore to nobody.

What the job includes.
Entrances, glass and matting
Done first and checked before opening. The highest-impact square metres in the building.
Sales floors and aisles
Swept, mopped or burnished to suit the flooring and the traffic volume.
Corridors and common areas
The shared space between tenancies, on a schedule that does not depend on who notices first.
Food court and seating
Tables, seating and the floor surrounding them, where spills are constant.
Public washrooms
High-frequency servicing with restocking, logged.
Fitting rooms and back-of-house
The staff areas and stockrooms that get skipped when a schedule slips.
How it runs.
-
Timed to trading hours
Overnight or pre-opening, with day porters where a centre needs coverage while open.
-
Entrance-first ordering
The sequence is deliberate: the areas customers judge get done when they are going to stay clean.
-
Per-tenancy or whole-centre
Quoted either as a single store or as a full common-area contract.
What changes the price.
Quotes are free and given in writing after we have seen the space. These are the things that actually move the number.
Trading hours
Overnight work is straightforward. Coverage while open needs a day porter arrangement.
Common area versus single store
A tenancy is quoted per store. A centre is quoted by zone and frequency.
Entrance traffic
Entrances and matting need disproportionate attention relative to their floor area.
Questions we get asked.
Can you clean while we are open?
Yes, with day porter coverage for spills, washrooms and entrances. The heavier floor work is still better done overnight.
Do you cover common areas as well as individual stores?
Both. Individual tenancies are quoted per store; centres and plazas are quoted as a common-area contract with an agreed frequency per zone.
How do you handle spills during trading?
A day porter arrangement covers it. Without one, spill response depends on a scheduled visit, which is not fast enough for a wet floor in a public area.
Can you do floor stripping in a live centre?
Yes, overnight and zone by zone, so each section is fully cured and back in service before doors open.
