Fabric-safe extraction
Sofa, upholstery and mattress cleaning.
Upholstery absorbs what a room does: body oils, cooking vapour, pet dander. It happens slowly enough that nobody notices until a cushion is turned over. Unlike carpet, a sofa cannot be soaked: the frame, the foam and the backing all hold water differently, so the job is about controlled moisture rather than volume.

What the job includes.
Cleaning-code check
The tag reads W, S, WS or X. That letter decides whether water can touch the fabric at all.
Dry soil removal first
Crevice vacuuming under and behind cushions before any moisture, because wet grit becomes mud.
Low-moisture extraction
Upholstery hand tool with reduced flow so the foam does not take on water it cannot release.
Arms, headrests and seat fronts
The contact points that carry most of the oil, treated individually.
Mattresses and headboards
Sanitising pass for dust-mite allergen, dried fully before bedding returns.
Dining chairs and office seating
Per-seat pricing for sets, including the underside of seat pads.
How it runs.
-
Fabric test in a hidden seam
Colourfastness checked on the back or under a cushion before the visible surfaces.
-
Sections cleaned in sequence
One panel at a time so nothing sits wet while the next is worked.
-
Air movers for the dry-down
Usually usable in 2–4 hours; leather and delicate fabrics are faster.
What changes the price.
Quotes are free and given in writing after we have seen the space. These are the things that actually move the number.
Number and size of pieces
Priced per seat rather than per room. A sectional is counted by its seats.
Cleaning code
W, S, WS or X on the tag decides the method, and some fabrics need solvent rather than water.
Condition and odour
Surface soil is routine. Odour that has reached the foam core takes additional treatment.
Questions we get asked.
What if my sofa is code X?
Code X means no water and no solvent. Vacuum only. We will tell you if that is what the tag says rather than cleaning it anyway and causing shrinkage or watermarking.
Can you clean leather?
Yes, though it is a different process: cleaning and conditioning rather than extraction. Leather needs the conditioner or it dries and cracks over time.
Will it smell afterwards?
It should smell like nothing. A lingering smell after upholstery cleaning usually means it was left too wet. We control moisture rather than saturate for that reason.
Do you treat pet odour?
Surface odour, yes. Odour that has reached the foam core needs the source treated directly, and sometimes the cushion insert has to be replaced. We will say so if that is the situation.
